Understand why others liked it but just not for me. Personal preference. Here are my reasons1). Really dislike when author feels the need to constantly point out how strong the women are. The hero and heroine actions and words should set their character. It feels like the author is saying “look at me. I can write strong dominate women characters “2). Dislike both characters disliking the thought they would ever have children. It was presented in a very negative way. Also dislike the message that strong competitive women cannot be successful and have children. For me it cheapens their entire love affair. I know this will not play out the same for a lot of women. That is why I say it is a personal preference3). The last 6-7 books by ms Goodwin seem like they are purposely set up to balance the first dozen or so with the dominate male vs the dominate female. I absolutely hate it when an author does this. I really will be very careful in the future to wait for a lot more reviews then 100 before I purchase her new books.4). Too much whining and angst about the relationship
